Double Dutch
The last time I watched Holland in anger was in a place called Nijmegen during the Euros. We arrived in town via Dusseldorf the morning of the Holland vs France game during the Euros drseed in kilt and obligatory Orange top. Van Basten version I think. What followed was one of those fantastic memories - maybe 5000 Dutch fans in the street - and of course just one of the classic Dutch total football performances.
The real reason for being in Holland was to see Kiss at a rock festival but not having to buy a drink all night helped make that particular Dutch performance as memorable as Paul Stanley flying through the air above my head!
So the only thing we can possibly hope for is that that is not the Dutch team that emerge tomorrow night!

We Have A Dream Crowd Version
It would appear that The Tartan Army are selling singles again this week!
Following on from the release of We Have A Dream for Children in Need last November the single is again selling through iTunes and if sales pick up any more it could chart again!
The original single mix which featured a host of Scottish personalities did not win favour with The Tartan Army who had sung their hearts out at Hampden at the Norway match to provide backing vocals. As a result the organisers of the single managed to get a remix version put online shortly after the main release featuring BA Robertson on lead vocal and 52,000 Tartan Army providing an amazing background vocal.
Ian McCaig, who was behind the single and the previous year's Top Ten hit with Runrig was not too surprised at the sales of the single, "We were all a bit disappointed with the way the CD single came across and it didn't really feature the crowd the way it should have. However when we first heard the remix - The Hampden Roar Version - we knew straight away that it would have sold even more than Loch Lomond had it been the main release."
The single has been played on http://www.tartanarmy.com/ all week and has lead to hundreds of downloads from iTunes in the past couple of days.
"It's a bit crazy but there is a serious chance that if the supporters keep buying We Have A Dream before the match on Saturday that it could hit the UK charts again!!"
You can buy the Hampden Roar download version from iTunes

Angus Young's Tartan Army
We’ve created a new AYTAC blog for all Tartan Army AC/DC fans to share their experiences of the band’s visits to Scotland. We’ve sent Angus and the guys membership certificates and look forward to getting a response in the future!
We can but hope for another live recording and double album (vinyl please) and maybe just maybe an AC/DC with the Tartan Army Children in Need single to follow!! And for sure a rendition of Angus’ guitar solo version of Loch Lomond will stir the masses into a little sing song. How about an amped up version of Auld Lang Syne, Angus ma boy? Just in case it’s the last gig of the last tour? Even the thought raises the hairs on the back of the neck!
To mark our respect for the legend that is Angus Young we’ve produced in conjunction with Tartan Army.com a special Angus and The Tartan Army shirt featuring a specially commissioned piece of artwork on the front with Angus wearing his 1978 Umbro shirt while playing at The Apollo in Glasgow. The back features Angus Young and The Tartan Army; Live at Hampden, June 30th 2009 with some of The Tartan Army troopers on the terracing. £1 from every shirt will go to the Tartan Army Children’s Charity – this will be a limited edition so order yours now for delivery before the Iceland match.

Tickets for Amsterdam...
We are delighted to confirm that the Scottish FA has secured 8,000 tickets for the FIFA World Cup Qualifying Match against the Netherlands on 28th March 2009.
This means that every Supporters Club member with at least one point will be eligible to apply for a ticket for the game at the Amsterdam ArenA.
The allocation of 8,000 tickets is 3,000 more than our entitlement under FIFA regulations, so a huge Scottish contingent will be there to cheer on George and the boys as we continue on the road to South Africa.
All Scotland Supporters Club members who have one point or more will be contacted by email or post with full details on how to apply. The booking period will run from Monday 19 January to Friday 13 February 2009 and tickets will cost 30 Euros (Approximately £28).
If any tickets remain unsold a ballot will take place. Details will be announced when the booking period has closed.
